I have a 2000 Toyota Avalon. The other day, something snapped/broke when I turned the key. The car would not start.I bought another ignition cylinder, thinking that was the problem. The garage that was going to install it said that it was the ignition cylinder HOUSING. I can’t even find that item anywhere online, but the parts store is telling me it’s over $400. Any ideas on how to go about this? Perhaps a shortcut? Or where to find it? Or what it’s actually called?
Aaron, for me to advise would be like the blind leading the blind, but I feel your pain. Maybe try calling a junk yard (salvage yard). I would think it would be a part that you could find on a junked car for a better price. Anyway, good luck.
Yes Aaron go to a salvage yard. Might want to make some calls before going. You can save some time________________Recorded Sermons @ http://www.pastorwiley.com
