It will be interesting to see if they really get to pick who they want, I wouldn’t want to bet any money that they will.

Man you can’t make this stuff up. Classic COG! But…the congregation got who they wanted.
Man you can’t make this stuff up. Classic COG! But…the congregation got who they wanted. I am not sure what the rolling eyes and sarcastic comments are about. When I continued to hear a friend’s name was being mentioned, I called him to see if he was in the mix. I respect this friend very much. He is an excellent leader, pastors a great church, serves on his state council, has a lot of relationships, has preached at South Cleveland, and is friends with the former pastor. He would have been a top candidate, if he had been presented with the others.
Edwin Lipsey
If this is all finalized and true, and only one person has the right to say so, Edwin will make an incredible leader at South Cleveland and Texas will lose a good man, pastor and leader in our state.Edwin is good people. He is kind, generous, funny and will be sorely missed. He has pastored both congregations/campuses in Waxahachie and Ennis with love, excellence and passion. He will not be easily replaced in his pulpit or on our state council.I did not know him well on a personal level but I saw enough of his character and integrity when having to deal with the various issues that come through the state office. I wish him nothing but the best! May he be blessed with what he needs during this transition, if this is indeed it. May God bless all three churches for his glory and honor________________Proverbs 3:5-6; John 13:34-35; Acts 1:8
