  1. Really dumb. If he was forcing everyone on his team to participate, then yes, that would be a violation of their First Amendment rights. As it stands, they are prohibiting both him and willing students from voluntarily exercising their First Amendment rights.

It could just be me, but the last time I checked this is still the US….. and we can pray pretty much anywhere we choose.I am always amazed at how some people get upset because a person doesn’t mind taking their faith public.From all I have read this coach has never sought to bring attention to himself, has never asked anyone to join him or forced players to do what he does.
