Well, after reading the above articles and comments, I guess our colleagues have changed from the way they were. Time does have a way to change people. It is just my faith from its beginning has never changed. Just pray for them is all I know to do. However, we must move on into what God has called each of us to do.

Well, I can give you the whole story and it is the exact way that it happened. The media, of course, did not tell the whole story neither did the people that wrote the article.
I received a call from a pastor in Kannapolis, NC, Pastor Sam Crisp, asking permission for this group to come and speak to our congregation. We do not make a habit of having groups as we get so many request from local politicians and every kind of group that you can imagine to come and speak to us. This happens on a regular basis. This group does not have a very good “track record” and the answer to them was no. We feel that there is a way to do things and their way is not the way we do things. They called and said basically that they didn’t care and were not going to respect our answer. We told them that they were not to come onto our property. They did and I think only one person was arrested. They drove one of their vans onto our property. They stood on the sidewalks with bull horns and were very disruptive. They also had huge posters of aborted babies which were very upsetting to our families with small children and were trying to hand literature into cars. In a congregation of our size there are also women that had abortions before they came to know Jesus. This was upsetting to them as well. I guess they forgot to add the part where we took water out to them and also let them use our restrooms. It was a very hot day and even though they disrespected our requests, we still accommodated them. We were told by police that the head of this operation has been arrested several times and seems to make a habit of it for publicity. In spite of this disruption on that Sunday, Jesus Christ was still lifted up and people were saved. Our Pastor also covers the sin of abortion, as well as gossip, gluttony, lying, cheating, etc. We don’t have to have a group come in and tell our congregation that abortion is despicable and a sin. Our pastor covers all sin. This group wanted to confront our pastor and the people listed in this article but we chose not to. If they didn’t respect our request they would not respect anything else. So that’s the answer from the post in 2010. That’s it, plain and truthful. I know. I was there for it all and of course my name appeared in their article.

What is involved is the church wants to avoid embarrassment and loosing high class tithers. They don’t want this attention.
