I see some posters have member and some posters have friendly face others have acts-soothing or another I would like to have the designation of prophet. I haven’t done a lot of prophesying but it looks like Im 1 for 1 right now so Im batting a thousand.

This was done for the exact reasons stated by Bro. Woolston, above. It was in St. Louis. The moment it was passed I rushed out and went to the Archway to America, and had my picture taken there. Thus I became the first Arch Bishop in the Church of God. True story. I have the picture.
People wanted to sound fancy when their name was called out in public. They love the praise of men.
It sadly implies hierarchy today, in the NT it was a synonym for elder.
It is a biblical name people, just a name. It seem to impress some of you, but it is just a name to identify an office…….that is all, period.
So people like you can ask stupid questions.

The word Bishop means Pastor so why not use it?
