I almost always enjoy the creative and thoughtful posts you make. Your post about it being time for states to elect their AB, has received a good response. What plan would you have for that to be carried out? When would such elections be held? Who qualifies? Must the one elected be from that state? I think that is the requirement the AG has for their state elections. Or, could state ministers elect anyone they choose whether the person is in-state or not? Could for example, one state elect an AB or other Ordained minister from another state if he was willing to serve? Could women be elected?Above are just a few questions but overall, what plan do you feel would be best? How about leading a discussion where all our viewers could help design and facilitate the process of states electing their AB.Doyl________________
Peter A Vandever on this we can all agree. I know after having spent years as a traveling preacher (an evangelist to the rest of us) that the Church of God is not as vibrant and alive in the Spirit and in worship as it was 17 years ago. The organization I am in now as well as the AG all are in need of true revival. I set and listened to Loran Livingston today and wept as he preached under such a mighty anointing. I wondered how many Pastors of 8,000 member churches preach with this kind of anointing. Certainly not many of any size. All of our hearts lament over the condition of the Pentecostal Church. I appreciate this group even though I do not agree with many of things posted I understand the heart of these men are to see revival in the COG and I pray in the classical Pentecostal world that we all love.
Peter A Vandever, this issue is not over small disagreements. You post in total opposition to the CoG, even to the point of calling them SOB’s. Many wonder why you are a part of this forum? I suggest that you start your own forum, then you can post whatever you like and others can chose if they wish to be a part of it.
It is the old timers that want the move of God.
Peter A Vandever, your post –
“Then COG will never be used…. they are the critical SOBs I know.”
This is true but give them some credit for their hunger and the fact they remember when the Church burned with Holy Ghost fire. I think using terms like idiot is also part of the problem. I don’t always agree with my Bishop but I would never refer to him or his ideas as idiotic.
