Paul and Barnabas appointed ELDERS in the churches. Peter told the elders to pastor the flock of God, and then said to the younger to submit to the elder. Even the elders TImothy appointed were probably older than himself. He wasn’t to rebuke an elder, but to entreat him as a father.
It is a normal and desirable thing if those in positions of overseership n a church tend to be older thant he rest of the congregation.
The question is whether there is a supply of younger men being prepared to tend the flock of God as they get older.
