Could you folks please pray for me that I’ll get my presentation for my doctoral defense on the 10th? Please pray for favor, and that I’ll get the revisions in by the 18th, and of course get a job. I have a couple of prospects, one short-term prospect that seems solid, but wouldn’t be something I’d want long term, probably________________

This has been a tough week. My wife received word that her older brother is in the beginning of renal kidney failure. Then last night, we received word her sister has been hospitalized with colon cancer. Please be praying for them and my wife as she processes all this________________

Sibling illnesses can sap your strength, but we know HE can and will help bear it.Losing my last sibling, an older sister, last year to acute renal failure, allows thought and for me to understand the situation. Please, no need to comment, I just need prayer. I have weighed 155-160 most of my life. My scale this morning read 129. I have a good Dr. at the VA and have an appointment next month. I feel fairly good, but am weak. I have lost weight since having Covid last year. I have a fair appetite but I get skinner and skinner. As you can guess lots of things go thru my mind, but I am in need of prayer.I respect the ACTS congregation of members and pastors and love and appreciate you all. My thanks to all of you for your prayers. Tomorrow we celebrate 67 years of marriage. So as you can see we are old. Mid 80s.My blood work gave no indication of my problems. My regular Dr. was out and I had a substitute. She said it appeared the weight loss had leveled out but I probably needed further tests.My other tests will not be until next March. Until them I am to keep a record of weight. I seem to be solid at 133 now. That is less than when I joined the USMC in 1956. LOLOf course that is combined with my mind deteriorating. i forget a lot.Thanks again for all your concerns and prayers… God is GOO________________Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/

When you realize that you are in error, do you change it or just continue in your error because it has been that way since grandma’s grandmama?
One may argue different things that those in the past believed. One thing is certain the lives they lived and the kind of christian they produced is greatly different fron today. The preaching kept people on their knees and the teachings produced a seperated people. We may indeed find that some things were not wrong but i highly doubt we will wished we would have indulged in it.
