Please help me to understand the meaning of Pointe as it relates to the name of churches such as Crosspointe, etc.. The only definition I can find is toe or point of shoe. There must be another definition that I cannot find.

  1. If it lines up with God’s word I don’t care what they call it, if not then it is a waste of time.

  2. In Acts we read how the Holy Spirit was a dynamic factor in their services. Without Him, you have no worship.

  3. I attended a couple of churches with choirs back in the day. But they for the most part was too formal and starchy/ I enjoyed seeing people come out of the congregation to the platform and form a choir. Informal and the Holy Ghost would fall. Wasn’t worrying about whether we missed a chord or note. We were making a joyful noise unto the Lord. Have you taken notice that the Psalmist in Psalm 100 said MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE UNTO THE LORD ahead of singing. I loved those little old churches that made a joyful noise. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU SAW A CONGREGATION MADE A JOYFUL NOISE WITHOUT BEING PRIMED.

  4. The declaration of faith states:In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost. What is the scriptural evidence of one who is sanctified but not baptized with the Holy Spirit?

  5. The CoG developed the DOF in 1948 to prevent a split in the CoG regarding the Doctrine of Sanctification, which nearly occurred at the CoG GA in 1944.
