I was thinking about this the other day. I believe most everybody reading this right now has changed a view or two throughout their Christian life, especially if it involves a long time. I have, perhaps, changed more views than most of you but it’s always with a sincere heart and never disqualifying anything about who Jesus is. It is the foundation that we have in common that allows us to be brothers and sisters in Him.
Then why does this same concept (it’s left between myself and God) not apply to others you have openly rebuked and criticized? Those who dress differently or wear their hair differently? Should this not be left between them and God as well?
Brittany, you make many good points here and I am in general agreement with you. Especially your right and privilege to speak back to the administrator of this page even though some may consider him one of God’s anointed. It is God’s anointed that I want to bring up. So many times I have known of pastors or AB’s to hide behind Ps.105:15 to prevent honest and needed communication. A careful reading I think shows this chapter is referring to Israel and it’s prophets. In Acts and in I Cor. we see a lot of dialog and serious discussion going on and even the apostles are not exempt from being challenged. However we should be careful when we bring up an issue and do so in a loving spirit and with the greater church in mind. Also we should keep in mind the great dissention that caused so much harm in the 1920’s.
