With all of this power ball talk I wonder if the belief that buying lottery tickets is wrong has changed. I know of a pastor who preached long and hard for may years that it was wrong. Once he retired he started buying lottery tickets. I was shocked.

If this is a message by Joe Chambers then I would ignore it. I have had encounters with that man in the past and would have difficulty with most anything that he preaches or writes.

Yesterday was a wonderful day of worship at New Life COG starting with the English service in the morning and with the Spanish service in the afternoon. Both service were filled with singing and shouting and very good preaching, closing with communion.
The Spanish service had a move of the Spirit with ever voice lifting up Jesus in praise. There was much dancing before the Lord including myself!! The name of the Lord was lifted up on high.
The special part was the preaching of Pastor Martinez. He opened up a wiondow of his soul. From Judges and preached about the children of Israel claiming the land and especially Caleb. Brother Mario sit beside me and translated. It was like I was privileged to see into the window of this congregation’s lives. There must be 5 or 6 different Latin American countries represented with very few speaking English and on la tierra de su corazón.
Pastor Martininez compared all their plights from their native couintries mentioning their poverty states they left ‘back home’. Like the Israelites they found a better home. The spies spied out the land and reported back the fact of giants in the land yet Caleb saw the land from his heart.
With tears flowing he preached to that congregation about their land God has given them. “How many of you did not have a car when you were 20 years old?” I believe every hand was raised! I turned to Mario and I said I had one at 16 years old!
I was there with these precious people and who are conquering their land. I want to be honored by their acceptance of me!

Mighty judging of you to say the WHOLE COG has no concerns about living holy! In fact your dead wrong! I am a Bishop in the COG and I live holy ! According to GODS word not according to some legalistic rules MAN came up with that was rejected by the denomination! Stupid rules about swimming together or watching a movie or drinking soft drinks!
