You want to talk about a Scalia type originalist, Ted Cruz would be that guy. I won’t vote for Trump, but if he were to appoint Ted Cruz to the high court I would probably vote for him in a second term. That would prove me wrong about a lot of things. So, naturally, it won’t happen. Trump will appoint his sister to the SCOTUS or at least some high appellate court. Christie will get some plumb appointment, Sarah Palin as well (yuk), and then a slew of democrats that he can make deals with. Agreed – Cruz would be excellent SCOTUS________________
