  1. Scofield puts the writing of II Tim. at 67 AD, Mark at 68 AD and the Gospel of John at 85 AD and that leaves the two synoptic gospels, which he dates earlier but then a great deal has been discovered since Scofield; even if Scofield is right in his dating, Matt. & Lk. would have still been in scrolls and would have had limited circulation. The only point I was making was that when Paul told Timothy to Preach the word he did not have in mind the bible as we know it today. It would be 1400 + years before the bible as we know it would be available.

  2. Harold E. Klump, I just posted mine 4 hours ago. To my knowledge, what you posted is the first post you wrote as it regards my posting. All of our postings relate to the CoG, a denomination to which you are an Ordained Bishop.

  3. Teaching the people of God about one thing. One reason a lot of preachers don’t teach it as a one-time experience that occurs after salvation is because they open their Bibles and don’t find it there. The best arguments they hear or read for it are just repeating church traditional sayings, trying to argue for it off of allegorical reasoning like the position ofthe laver in the temple, or someone arguing that the original Greek supports the idea because it uses the aorist tense without giving any explanation for how the use of aorist tense supports this particular view of sanctification or why most people who read Greek don’t believe in it.
