You may be able to sanctify your self but you can’t keep yourself sanctified it takes the 2nd definite blessing of grace to do that I thank God for this blessing He did something for me I couldn’t do myself
The bible teaches for us to cleanse ourselves, when a person gets under conviction he begins to cleanse himself. Or sanctify himself before he is saved…
OSAS is rooted in a progressive sanctification not indistinct from regeneration. Salvation is not from above according to the will of the father but is according to the free will of man. Salvation is according to a decision and that decision is eternal, because it is a work of faith. A work of faith cannot fail because the faith is a gift of God
If the sanctified life is not manifestly demonstrated then there exist the possibility that the faith was not genuine and there was no new birth to begin with. This is a teaching of eternal insecurity.
How far removed is the COG teaching on progressive sanctification removed from OSAS?

For the most part, there are only a handful of posters discussing politics.Ole Timer is still talking about degrees, Brad is still posting about something other than politics, and Aaron is talking about prohibiting women from leadership.
Yeah, I started to make a thread about sex and religion because I was tired of talking about politics the other day.I guess that’s what Ole Timer did by posting about the Soddy Daisy guy.
agreed james.Select Preachers around America have been extolling Trumps non virtues – and I believe they are waking up to the fact that their parishioners are heeding their call to non vote for Trump about as good as Catholics listen to the Pope’s call.Maybe if you mostly teach about giving money to the church to be right with God – you get a President that is all about money, as well________________

I know Acts talks about football and politics all the time and Trump is all people are talking about pro and con. But if you leave here for awhile and then re-logon there is an impression of only political threads here. Just an observation. Hey, pastors are people too.

You definitely should post more. I think it would be great if you would post a picture of the new president’s cabinet made up of Acts posters.
