  1. Why not just tell them the truth, that they have been lied to? There are not going to be millions shipped back. Why do we let the myth be perpetuated in their little minds that Trump is a monster who hates them? Where is Jesus in allowing children to be lied to________________

  2. Obama has deported more illegals than any other president.reason.com/blog/2016/05/13/always-worse-than-trump-on-immigration-oabcnews.go.com/Politics/obamas-deportation-policy-numbers/story?id=41715661

  3. Sounds sad.In this fallen world – there is sadness all around. Can Christians in the U. S. fix everything? Also: News flash: everyone voting for Trump wasn’t an evangelical Christian. Not sure how they are blamed for everything. But first things first: Eddie – are their parents illegal aliens? If they are citizens – they have no worries. If they have broken the law – can we really promise our rule of law won’t dispatch their parents. If someone murders another – can we promise that person won’t be put in jail?Elian Gonzalez was shipped away by Clinton may years ago – due to the rule of law.The United States can’t take care of everyone – it has to take care of citizens first…there are other governments voted in by folks that live in those nations who have the responsibility to care for its people. If folks want to legally immigrate – the U S should allow them to do so as finances allow. But I don’t think any of us can guarantee that everyone that wants to live in the U. S. gets to do so.Folks that break the law – must be forced to obey the law – laws regarding abortion- and laws regarding immigration – and laws regarding classified documents. Otherwise, you just don’t have a nation…a nation by the way that God says He sets up – some with good rulers – some with bad ones.Sounds like your daughter is doing all a Christian can actually do in this situation________________

  4. We never discuss just how badly those countries like Mexico are run. The corruption has been institutionalized for centuries and the class divides are fix and unchanging. If, and I say if, we allow these children to stay in our free schools, use our hospital emergency rooms for their free medical treatment and have parents who would at jobs where they are paid cash so they don’t have to pay taxes, then we need to teach them just how bad their former countries are.I struggle when I see the Mexican flag be waved by those who demand access to America’s benefits. Their culture, and most the immigrants who do come here from around the world, has failed to govern their country. Their culture is the reason things are so bad in their countries of origin. Now they want the rights of America while demanding their culture be given special treatment. It America were to continue down that path, we would become no more than a banana republic. So if we keep the kids, teach them that they are blessed to be in America and that their old culture is bankrupted.

  5. Tell them that we will pray that no families that are good people will be hurt. I don’t believe Trump wants to deport families that have never been to Mexico. He said he was going to go after the bad guys, the gangs will give him enough work to do for 4 years.8 years ago my kids were upset that the man who said letting mommies kill babies gave him hope was going to be president. They cried too. I don’t remember any democrats trying to comfort my kids.

  6. I have been literally immersed in the Mexican community since 1998. Most of my friends and acquaintances are illegal. I love them all dearly. Here is what I have observed, and this includes from Mexican youth born here that are now in their 20’s. They have an entitlement mentality. They are for

  7. Eddie, I don’t quite know how to respond to your thread.Somebody is making up a few things & it might be lost in the translation of the way your daughter is telling you this story.I too teach part time in a elementary school that is easily 90% + hispanic …duhhh, I live in the Central Valley of California. We have about 1/3 of our kids as unable to call English their first language & many of them were brought here by their parents from Mexico. They go to this public school & all of the right authorities know these families are here illegal. We even have a separate facility for our church where we are ministering to them 3 days a week to help with English lessons, food help & immigration counseling for the few who want to do it the right way.I told the church last night about my kids asking me at lunch break why I had a sticker on my shirt that says I Voted – I told them I had voted for the president of the United States & they asked me who I voted for, I told them Trump.Several of the kids (mostly girls) screamed that I should have voted for Hillary because she takes care of the poor people. I said ‘what about Trump’ & they said ‘our parents told us Trump is against us & he is going to build a wall.’I told them yes he is going to build a wall to which many of them replied, but then we’ll have to go back to Mexico because of the wall.I told them what Trump said about arresting the bad guys & criminals & sending them back to their countries all over the world & that the wall will make sure that people come into America the legal way. From the mouth of 3rd graders they said, What? We never heard anybody explain it like that before. The very next morning after the election Tuesday night, I asked the kids did they know who was president & they all yelled, Trump! Not one single child was crying & not one kid was even slightly worried that they were going to be shipped back to Mexico like the Jews being shipped all over Germany …what a stretch of an analogy Eddie.Several kids were talking about this at lunch & I got them to chant Trump! Trump! Trump! Trump! Trump! Trump! just for the fun of it all.Now I live in a border state & these kids learn from a very early age how to hide facts & lie to immigration authorities in order to be kept from being shipped back to Mexico. (It does happen every once in awhile)It is an absolute ridiculous notion to even begin to accept the idea that families will be broken up & shipped off like the Jews (in your analogy) because we don’t have any way to determine who they are or where they’re living & even if we did have a way to do it the social upheaval would send most of the border states into pandemonium. Of all the hispanic families in our church (some are illegal) none of them are worried about Trump having a way to send them back …not gonna happen. One guy in my church is illegal & owns 2 businesses & pays all kinds of money in taxes to the state & feds & I guarantee they will leave him alone. So I don’t know if somebody was pulling your daughter’s leg or if she told you the story & you embellished it somewhat …with your absolute hate for Trump I would bet on that first. You better come clean cause this story of yours doesn’t add up.________________Empty nest syndrome is for the birds!Email me at: [email protected] planters are focused on just one thing …introducing people to Jesus!

  8. I dont know what to say Eddie. It is very sad their parents broke the law(if they are illegal aliens).Breaking the law has consequences.Sometimes it results in sadness for the child. I guess you want us to say its ok to break the laws of the united states so those children wont feel bad. But where does it end? Those laws are ok to break…but some arent? What if we burnt down abortion clinics or porn theaters. That would help some families. What if we torched the Budweiser plant…no drunk driving for a while…that would help some kids. Does it make it ok to break the law in those instances? To me…that is the real question.Sad yes. Easy solution to let law breakers stay…but where does it end…it doesn’t________________

  9. I didn’t say she was but I don’t believe the version you gave. Your story has way too much detail for it to be a 3rd grader. ________________Empty nest syndrome is for the birds!Email me at: [email protected] planters are focused on just one thing …introducing people to Jesus!

  10. Not a word of this post can be contradicted!________________Empty nest syndrome is for the birds!Email me at: [email protected] planters are focused on just one thing …introducing people to Jesus!

  11. Brother, I hope you know that I in no way was saying YOU were lying. I’m simply saying that immigrants in general get lied to daily racism, deportation, nativism, etc. The left bombards them with propaganda to frighten them. The children you mention are a great example. That was the context my comments were said in. The liberals are lying, not you________________

  12. EddieI know you have exited the building here, but I believe your account. Dean’s account does not have to be THE story and it trump yours. It is a different environment in California and a much deeper illegal history and culture than the one we have in the South. Both scenarios can be VERY TRUE.My daughter, like yours, taught in predominantly lower social strata schools and had a disproportionate number of illegals as students. The parents of those illegals paid rent (vis a vis, property taxes) and participated vigorously in the local economy. One of her student’s mom received a traffic ticket that led to her incarceration for months while awaiting deportation. This single mom was taken from her children, who then had to be scattered among friends, before facing hearing that would deport her but NOT her American born children. THAT, to me, is crazy. In our culture THESE are the stories that strike the fear you point to.It is centered on PeDJT but has been alive for years. All they see is that a system already set against them (and them against it, to be fair) is now going on steroids, metaphorically, to sweep the floor.Moments like this compelled my daughter to go back to Grad School and get her MSW from the University of Georgia, after which she gave herself to a career fighting for immigrants as the Director of Immigrant Services for Catholic Charities of Atlanta. She has often been a speaker in this region to help WASPs like us feel the fear, struggles and dilemmas that come with the territory of those persons who seek the opportunity to live in the rarified air that we easily take for granted. My daughter did not support the Trump candidacy, for these obvious reasons. Her written statement yesterday to some very vocal evangelicals was simple and straight. I am learning from her how to see through spirit eyes.
