Does your church practice communion, foot washing & interpretation of tongues?

Acts20.com NEW Acts-Celerate

Recently here at FCC we put communion back into the regular agenda for the first Sunday of each month. Does your church offer communion on a regular basis? We haven’t had a worship service where we observed foot washing in quite a while, does anybody still practice this & if so how do you go about implementing it?Certain services we will have an awesome move of the Spirit & a message in tongues will come forth. There are only about 2 or 3 who let the Lord use them for interpretation. How do you handle yours? As in if you have a message in tongues do you allow for a few moments for the interpretation or do you move on with the service or??________________Empty nest syndrome is for the birds!Email me at: [email protected] planters are focused on just one thing …introducing people to Jesus!

  1. We usually do footwashing and communion together three times a year, at Easter, on New Year’s Eve, and around Thanksgiving.

  2. We need to pray that God will send you some great associate helpers!Let them do the small stuff & give you the pulpit to preach.________________Empty nest syndrome is for the birds!Email me at: [email protected] planters are focused on just one thing …introducing people to Jesus!

  3. Tom, if it was just the three things listed, an they was all practiced at the same time, what would a feller interpret? The number of corns on another fellers toes?

  4. Ole Timer, I just had an unction to interpret. I think the feller was trying to maintain his composure when his feet were being tickled. And the interpretation is essentially, Man, if you don’t quit tickling my feet, I’m going to have to laugh out loud as embarrassing as that would be.Ole Timer, ya cain’t back outta goin ta Pigeon Forge, now. They need you. I’m sensing a little bit of Jonah in this ere post of yourn.

  5. We have communion quarterly and food washing maybe twice a year.We had a communion and foot-washing service last night. Usually, when we announce foot washing, we don’t have many people show up and last night was no different. The good thing we had 2 people accept Christ during this service. One man came to me and told me he has a very bad addiction to porn. So bad, that it is destroying him and his marriage. He has actually started seeking out people to act out the things he has seen on those web-sites. I know this is really disgusting to some but please pray for him.

  6. Dear BishopsWife,You hit on the very reason why I asked about these things. The youth in our churches have very little idea what these things are & they are not being exposed to the moving & marvels of the inner workings of the Holy Ghost. Before long we will have successfully brought up a generation that know longer claims to be pentecostal. If the Lord tarries our churches will accommodate all types of people regardless of their lifestyle. We’ve talked about this for years but we do nothing to counter the departure of the gifts of the Spirit. Even at the GA we got rid of the teen talent & thereby also sent our youth away for the purpose of convenience & cost.Question: When will we pay the cost to expose our youth to the moving of the Spirit?Answer: When it’s too late!________________Empty nest syndrome is for the birds!Email me at: [email protected] planters are focused on just one thing …introducing people to Jesus!

I believe the solution will first involve a walk of faith in this area of ministry among pastors. Can you elaborate on this some more?Because most pastors I know walk by faith & there is still a spirit of apathy amongst the church – we def need a move of the Spirit! We need an authentic global revival!________________Empty nest syndrome is for the birds!Email me at: [email protected] planters are focused on just one thing …introducing people to Jesus!
