The gifts of the Spirit are supernatural manifestations of the Spirit. Not taught. How can one practice the operation of the Gifts of the Spirit.He gives the gifts as He wills. Don’t know if you are serious or not but I have heard of folks practicing the gifts. I have had the opportunity to participate but never been in one of these sessions and have no plans to attend.It’s amazing what goes on in some churches today.Lets all get together and practice casting demons out of Christians and practice the gifts. My daddy said there was an unwritten gift, The gift of silence i.e. keeping your mouth shut! He told me many times to practice it. There were times I didn’t practice enough……………………………………. and… … . ? I have knowed preachers who should have practiced ‘preaching’ in private afore they tried it in public. I think I was guilty! NOt too sure that works on gifts though! ________________Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/
I don’t think people should ‘practice’ prophesying in the name of the LORD until they get it right, and then use it in public. (Should murders be practiced in private?) But I do think people who are going to prophesy in the name of the LORD should make sure they hear God right before they start prophesying in His name. Is that ‘practice’? I wouldn’t call it that.When it comes to words of knowledge, if you are just starting out, you could ask a few questions. Sometimes asking questions is a good way of dealing with a word of knowledge. You don’t have to directly tell everyone all the words of knowledge you get to use them to edify others.Some people might start out using their gifts in one-on-one settings, then in small groups, and then in larger settings as they grow in faith. God may entrust a little at first and more later on as someone is faithful also________________
About prophesying,Samuel heard God speak to him and didn’t know what was going on. Eli gave him a little coaching that got him started. There may be some people who need a little coaching or nudging to get them functioning in the gifts. Have you ever heard a pastor ask people to pray for an interpretation? What’s wrong with doing something like that in a small group with some people? It depends on what you mean by ‘practice’________________
Teaching people to talk in tongues and then telling the people to go home and practice ________________
