In the world of FB and Twitter, Acts still serves a purpose

Acts20.com NEW Acts-Celerate

I enjoy and use FB and my posting here may have gone down a little because of it, but to me, Acts (and other message boards I still use) serve a purpose that FB can’t. It gives a place of focus on topics that the general FB crowd of cousins, high-school friends and business associates can never replace. These boards give you a place to go deeper into subjects you care about. FB topics tend to last a day or two at most, then are forgotten or bombarded by people who frankly don’t get it because of where they are in life. I certainly hope that others see that and will continue to post here, and I hope that some that have quit will return and find a kinder, gentler, Actscelerate.

  1. It seems as though a lot of the posters have gone to the FB group Excellent Pastors, which is for lead pastors only, so that kind of leaves those of us who are not pastors out in the cold________________More of Him…less of me.twitter.com/camiracle77www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=691241499&ref=name

  2. Getting the right format for a discussion Forum must be tough. I like the Acts layout, because I am familiar with it. I went to the COG discussion board and never did like the way it was laid out.YES there s still a need for This Board. Carolyn is right, Acts does give the member on the pew a place to express themselves if they want to. Funny that, when a Blogger friend of mine ‘goes private’ and invites me, I never go. I like an open discussion. I could live in a gated community, but it goes against the grain with me, I prefer open.I had a pastor that lived in a gated community, didn’t seem like a friendly way to live, to me. But I ain’t thrilled about ‘clubs’ my self. I don’t even like HOA’s LOLTHAT is JMHO________________Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/
