I think we need to distinguish between a wish of the heart of the songwriter (build my mansion next to Jesus)andtheological error (we will see Mary who redeemed us through her prayers).I can handle poetic license as long as it isn’t theologically incorrect________________
How about ‘when I die, Hallelujah by and by, I’ll fly away’?How about ‘Lift Jesus higher….He said if I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men unto Me. It quotes a verse about Jesus being crucified and says to lift Him higher. It’s mixed metaphors that don’t mix well, IMO. Of course, it’s not ‘southern gospel’ either________________
Psalm 90:10
yeah BB the lady definitely holds her own here on the Forum. But to the cabin in the corner of Glory land. I think the heart is right there. I want to be there, and might make it by the skin of my teeth, but I still want to make it. I have never been a hero on earth as a man or on earth as a Christian. So I think the song is from a writer’s heart. I think the spirit is right.JMHO ________________Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/
