To say there is a genetic component is not the same as to say that life experiences don’t influence a person’s sexual identity.I’ve heard too many examples of people who have been sexually abused who turn to a homosexual lifestyle not to wonder if their abuse factored in to the way they are.

You are correct! This is an example of the ignorance among our people. Wow, so you say its nature to be gay, explains it all. The teaching of the Church is that it is nurture, NOT nature. It happens in the early years due to trama, neglect, abuse, parental influence, or the emotional need to be affirmed and noticed in some way. I had two twin neighbors that both thought they were born gay because their family and friends thought it was cute to dress them up as girls. We knew all along it was for the attention and we were proven correct since one of them never moved in with the 35 year-old gay white creep and eventually got tired of the whole gay thing and went straight (the other one, not so much once he’d crossed the line). Statistically impossible that twins would be born gay. You and Lady Gaga are wrong. I did not actually say that one is born gay. I think there can be many influencing factors and there are different theories as to how it comes to be in a person’s life. But from the vast majority of people I know or have read about, it is something that has always been a part of them. And as one of the other posters mentioned, many of them would definitely opt to be different, but they don’t know how to change. It is definitely believed within the gay community that they are born this way and they will argue vehemently with you if you try to say otherwise. I had one tell me, I was born this way, and God is OK with it. He loves me just the way I am. I think demonic influence is a definite possibility, as Quiet Wyatt pointed out. I read once that the spirit of perversion and a seducing spirit are usually at work with homosexuality. Many gays were also molested in their youth…usually multiple times.I have also read that for many gays, alcohol is a strong influence in their lives, also. Alcohol also tends to lessen our inhibitions.I think the tolerance message is encouraging many kids to experiment with different things and then think that maybe they are gay or trans. I read an article a while back in which a woman discussed growing up as a tomboy, loving to do all the things her brothers got to do (playing football, working on cars, etc, which were mostly dominated by males.) She said if someone had asked her as a kid if she wanted to be a boy, she would have said yes in a heartbeat. They got to do all the cool stuff! When she got older, she eventually discovered her more feminine side (though she is still better at fixing things than her husband.) No doubt there are some kids who are on the fence. I also suspect there are some folks out there who have gotten so deep into porn, they have gone ‘bi’. If addiction to porn could lead someone to be a serial killer, it could probably lead to homosexual perversion________________
I think I’ve read that one studied showed that if a twin was homosexual that there was a 30 or 40% chance that the other twin, if raised by different parents, was gay. There is also the fall. That can effect ‘nature’ or whatever you call it, the corrupt fallen nature. There could also be some sort of ‘spiritual genetics’ that aren’t purely physical, guilt on families not reconciled to God as there was on peoples we read about in the Bible________________
I don’t really have a problem thinking they are born with dispositions to not being attracted to the opposite sex.However, with any other genetic difficiency, such as born without a limb – we work overtime to help that person overcome that deficiency.But with this problem – we have in one generation – quit thinking it abnormal and try to get them psychological help – but now call it normal – and anyone still wanting to get them help is a hater.Did the Catholics truly have it wrong – that sex could only be used for procreation purposes – and it should be denied any other way? We’re they on to something? That is why they were/are against the pill, condoms, etc…Should we look at ourselves in the mirror and wonder if all of us have sexual appetites that are way over the top of what God intended? If it wasn’t broadcast from the TVs and even our pulpits that God or nature wants us to have our sexual appetites fulfilled daily – would we have the appetite for sex that all of us have today? We clearly have an appetite for food beyond what is necessary as daily bread – are our sexual appetites just as engorged________________
