Giving money away is still a good way to get votes!!?? That is right I said giving money away. The tax credit is just another welfare give away. I know, I know, I am being insensitive. Shouldn’t we try to encourage people to have children and help those working poor? Of course we should, but how about doing it some other way beside the tax code?? I thought the whole idea of this was some kind of reform??Encourage abortion via changing of the constitution (life is what we define it as) . Encourage children via the tax code (throw a few bucks of SOMEONE else money to poor families). Yes, I am sure Marco is getting ready for his next presidential bid and I suppose he borrowed this from the democrat playbook Unfortunately, I will probably HAVE to vote for him.
What’s wrong with Marco? He is a man of integrity and was not going to vote for something that he did not believe in. You realize that what he’s asking for is an extra welfare check for people who already pay 0 taxes right? This isn’t an expansion of the credit, its a refund of money that wasn’t paid in. I know you lean liberal in your fiscal and non-religious social issues (and I’m not digging you for it, just pointing out your posting record), but you should understand that most of us here are conservative in most aspects of life and that paying additional entitlements IS fiscally irresponsible.

I am sure Marco is a great guy. But integrity? Who is paying for this? Is Marco? Of course not. If he is such a bleeding heart, he should come up with a way to pay without taking and some would say stealing it from one class of tax payer.But it’s done now and he looks like the hero
