I am proposing a modest change in the suffix used for ordinal numbers. As you know we have 1st…2nd…3rd…4th, etc. So, we have st, nd, rd and th. But to simplify things, I propose that FROM NOW ON, we use only ONE of these for ALL ordinals. So…We can do 1st, 1nd, 1rd, or 1th (although the last one will make everyone think we have a lipth). So, who’s with me? Who wants to be first? I mean, firth? Or firnd? Or even firrd?
It tookl me nearly 79 years to get used to tenth (10th). Every time I heard it I thought someone was asking did I tithe?I’m stubborn, I ain’t changing. and at least for one more month I will do the tenth thing. Maybe the ‘leventh! However I do appreciate a smile. ________________Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/
