can’t a woman be a deaconess in the Church of God? I have no problem with that.

I was saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost at age eight, 58 years ago in the COG, a woman was our pastor.
I went to COGs as a teen. I don’t remember deacons. They had them in some of the Gereja Bethel Indonesia churches in Indonesia. I know they had a uniform made every so often so they’d match when they collected the ‘diakonat’ offering every month. I think they just might have handled some administrative issues related to those offerings, but I don’t know given how centralized Bethany was. Do many COGs in the US have deacons? What do they do? Do any COGs use the title for members of a pastor’s council?
I thing children need discipline today. The Bible teaches that. I didn’t say abuse. I said discipline.
