I have several of T. L. Lowery’s old books. Here is one. It deals with the UNPARDONABLE SIN, something that is true, yet so many churches, including Pentecostals, no longer agree with. Today’s message is God is love and everybody is going to heaven. That is the error of today’s church.
Are there people in the CoG who believe God is love and everyone’s going to heaven?
Melvin Harter, would you consider I John 5:16 an elaboration of the unpardonable sin?
I believe this is another reference to The Holy Ghost!
No, not really Charles Page
isn’t there a sin unto death?
Those who have committed the unpardonable sin have spoken against the Holy Ghost.
you have to be a child of God then to commit the unpardonable sin, right?
Charles Page, ‘child of God’ in the created sense like Adam, maybe, but not in the sense that you have to be ‘saved’ to blaspheme the Holy Ghost. The Pharisees Jesus was talking to did not believe in Him.
not bringing a casserole for the potluck and expecting a free meal is an unpardonable sin in CoG!
Some sins are considered unpardonable sin by man. Fortunately, some of the A/G and COG folks will forgive not bringing a dish to a pot luck (‘pot blessing’ if you don’t like ‘luck’ or ‘pot predestination’ if you are Calvinist) if you read to them the verses about their sins not being forgiven if they don’t forgive others.
