Someone explain how the CoG Declaration of Faith supports a progressive sanctification from the new birth?

I don’t see how it can be both ways; one of the other but not both!

  1. Whoever tried to explain as you posted is totally incorrect. It is impossible to explain that the CoG Declaration of Faith comes even close to supporting progressive sanctification.

I’ve always embraced definite and progressive sanctification. ie, ‘set apart’ as to specific, definite purpose, but continual process of cleansing of spiritual contamination, simply by living in this present world not yet in our glorified bodies. Specific utensils were sanctified for use in the temple worship only, but still required designated levites to cleanse them over and over by prescribed method after each use. I am saved, but occasionally I need to be purged again, in my attitudes, behavior, etc…
