Have you ever met a man who was so ‘sanctified’ he couldn’t admit he was wrong?
I’m thinking about an open air preacher who would call his audience ‘fornicators’, and once called a Christian girl praying for him a ‘harlot’ while doing so. He couldn’t admit he might have made a mistake. He believed that he never sinned.
Have you ever met anyone who would never admit he was wrong and would never confess a sin because he was convinced he never sinned after a certain date in the past?
Yes, but he/she is ignorant of God’s salvation plan for us.
he uses a convenient definition of sin!!!
He seemed to believed he’d never sinned after conversion, based on what he said. I don’t know if he came right out and said it that directly, but that certainly was my impression based on what he said when asked about it. This was 20+ years ago.
I’ve came across these statements on the internet and in fact have heard CoG people say as much.
I sat in one of those churches for decades. The ONLY time he admitted wrong and apologized to the congregation when he said something true about America and republicans were offended. Seriously of all the errors he said from the pulpit that was the only time.
Can certain teachings on sanctification (combined with a bit of human pride) lead to a situation where someone never confesses his sin?

Pride leads to a fall
i msat under a pastor that was like that..the teachings were wrong, others were wrong but the preacher never was
