Acts20.com NEW Acts-Celerate

This is Paula Hill and quiet likely the next first lady of the Church of God. I know this is going to garner angry comments however we need to openly discuss what the direction the Church of God is taking.

I am certain she has hidden holiness as do most of the Church of God women. Do you want her setting the example for CoG women and minister’s wives?

Let’s have a good discussion. Keep your comments Christian and Biblical.

  1. Paula Hill is a fine Christian leader! What do u find about the pic u don’t like?? Why don’t u pull off your self righteous robe & post your own pic & we’ll see how u measure up! Very stupid post. I don’t care if u like it or not. U should be ashamed!

  2. J W Hill (her father in law)was my pastor. Rose Goude (Paula Hill’s sister) is the wife of my current pastor. My parents and the Hills speak often. If all the criticism you have is her hair….thats pretty lame. Her husband’s ministry is beyond reproach as far as I know. My great-grandma had short and people condemned her saying god would never fill her with his spirit. My grandmother held her hand as she went to be with jesus, speaking in tongues with her last breath.

  3. Modesty is a heart issue. Modesty is basically meekness and humility. Conforming to some sort of dress code does not guarantee modest in the heart. To put a picture up of someone you do not know in order to judge their walk with the Lord based on appearance is close to slandering. We know that scripture condemns slandering as sin.

  4. While I’m not much of a clothes-line preacher, I do believe in modesty and I believe in holiness. I believe that what’s on the inside will show outwardly. I believe men should have short hair and should dress respectfully. I believe women should dress modestly. Will I condemn someone who doesn’t put their hair in a bun, paints their faces, wears long shiney ear rings and stuff? No. I let the Spirit clean them up and let Him fulfull what His word says.

  5. Well maybe you should message tim hill and ask. Should we get out rulers to see how long the hair has to be. God wants the genders to look different. If you look at Paula Hill and think she looks manly then maybe i need to spit and make some clay and rub it in your eyes.

  6. How about we all get out our strongs and look at the meaning of the words. 1 Timothy 2:9 KJVS
    [9] In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
    As for hair, you cant win that argument. 1 Corinthians 11:16 KJVS
    [16] But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.

  7. How about we all get out our strongs and look at the meaning of the words. 1 Timothy 2:9 KJVS

  8. Ricky Grimsley I think you may be presenting Vs 16 in the wrong light. It has no relationship to Vs 9. “We have no such custom” is a direct reference to “Contentious” and not Vs 9. Thus, we have no such custom as being contentious.”

  9. So you think the context there is, “if any man likes to argue go ahead. The church doesnt have any custom about arguing? As opposed to ” nature teaches us that these things are shame but if anyone wants to argue about it, there is no custom or law to enforce?

  10. No Ricky Grimsley, the church does not argue. If any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God. Custom here refers directly to the contentious and not to verse 9.

  11. Well i disagree but aside from that……this is a pretty slippery slope to go down? How long does the hair have to be. Should we go back to not wearing wedding rings? What is the limit on what becomes “costly array”. Obviously no one wants a Tammy Bakker but really is all make-up a sin?

  12. Its not progress. We know people by their fruits not by personal opinions about how long hair is supposed to be how much jewelry can cost or where the line of make-up wearing is. All those things are arbitrary positions that people disagree on.

  13. Of course i did. And i have concerns but they arent about paula hill. Im more concerned about people who consider the pope the leader of the church speaking at our camp meetings and all the joel osteen sympathizers trying to draw the COG into a giant apostate church.
