I heard Tim Hill preach a chapel service at Lee U and based on that sermon I would oppose him as GO at the GA2016.
It was name it claim it and dominion theology! sadly CoG is vastly approaching that theology. He has roots strongly in World Missions and the theology is accommodated by many of the
missionaries.
I don’t know where u get your info but u r sadly wrong about Tim! He is one of our own TX guys. He by no means is name it claim it! He has done more for missions than anyone. U should be ashamed of yourself for propagating false info. Sounds u r a very bitter person with an axe to grind. A sweet spirit goes a long way!
I heard the sermon at chapel service and I am no novice when it comes to theology. I don’t have a sweet spirit I am straight as an arrow!
Tim Hill should be seriously opposed by concerned CoG people.
“Get in or get out” is a dangerously close to a cult mentality. If Peter and Paul couldn’t agree on everything, why should we expect to agree on everything when there are MANY more opinions involved than 2…
I would be afraid of a scenario where absolutely no one had a concern or opposing view for someone looking to run the entire spiritual organization I am a part of…
Thank u Corey Forsyth….the cog is NOT a cult. Don’t be so presumptuous! To have a view is a little different than attacking our leaders. Charles page, for someone that’s not a part, u sure have a bunch of opinions. Me thinks u don’t know as much as u think! Get over your bitterness, use your energy to win souls. Negativeness is not one of the gifts!
Pat, the only person who seems upset is you. I never said the COG was a cult. I have spent the majority of my life in the COG. What I said, was that the mentality you seemed to be promoting was cult like. I do not know Tim Hill so I do not have an opinion on the matter. However, since the very title of this group is “open forum” it appears to be out of line to so harshly attack someone’s opinion. Especially when it was given in a very calm and collected manner with no attack to the man’s character but rather a difference in theology based on one sermon. I fail to see how anything said should have wound you up so tightly.
