What, exactly, is a “religious spirit”? Are you saying it is a real spirit, as in a demonic spirit? I have always thought of it as simply an attitude. A self righteous, or holier than thou attitude. That kind of religious spirit cannot be cast out but must be nailed to the cross________________“Hell will be filled with people that didn’t cuss, didn’t drink, and may even have been baptized. Why? Because none of those things makes someone a Christian.”
So a person either has a demonic spirit inside them or they don’t.I suspect demons laugh at us when we give them names.A spirit of religion.A spirit of greed.A spirit of Seminole football.All the same to me.I think it trivializes a real spiritual problem.Sometimes its just sin – folks driven by their OWN lusts – not a spirit of lust________________
