When it comes to humans, it seems that God creates only pottery or mosaics. For pottery, God must start with a lump of clay, fashioning it into something far more beautiful and useful.For mosaics, God takes broken, irregularly shaped pieces and places them together in such a way as to create a beautiful work of art. None of us can give to God anything but broken pieces. If not at first, then surely at some point, we all can feel broken and destroyed.
