He has been in meetings with people who are deeply respected in our charismatic and Pentecostal circles.

Dave, I remember someone posting on Acts the prophecies of Brian Carn a year ago. I remember being skeptical because I thought the prophecies were either ambiguous or just things that would likely happen anyway (like a hurricane in Boca Raton which interestingly enough did not happen even though, statistically speaking, Boca Raton is overdue for one).I found enough information about him then to satisfy myself that he had character issues, though I couldn't confirm the stuff first hand. I did post last September that he had missed it on the hurricane season.

Oh, I'm now remembering (though vaguely) more of the discussion we had at the time. I think someone had posted about how he missed it on how many children a woman had. I think someone else was trying to explain how that he still could have been right if he was just referring to children young enough not to care for themselves.

Dave, this is the part that concerns me. This is where mature leadership is needed. The leaders of the churches need to know the character of the people they bring in. There is a temptation to bring in someone sensational who will draw crowds and bring in money. ~shaking my head~
