www.ontheissues.org/Gary Johnson.htmI have thought about possibly voting libertarian for the first time ever. After reading the above link it would be very hard for me to vote for him. His views on abortion are just too liberal. I think it says something about him fundamentally that I just cannot support. I agree with most of the things he says about the economy, taxes, etc. and I know I should not let one issue cloud my judgment, but the main reason we declared our independence as a nation was because the founders saw the evident truths of God all men are created equal and are endowed by our creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

You will find that most Libertarians are fiscally conservative and socially moderate or liberal. Very much enjoy your gay and your guns, as long as I keep my money type of party. I'm not registered with any party, but I lean this way quite a bit. You do your thing as long as it doesn't affect me, and we're good ---------My Facebook www.facebook.com/theB3

While I agree with you that republicans have done little to help in the cause of the unborn, I must say the way he thinks on abortion goes against God and the Constitution. He apparently does not view the unborn child as life. Also check his views on immigration out.

I'm very disappointed that the Libertarian party didn't run a more Ron Paul type Libertarian this time, they missed their chance to cash in on the HORRIBLE candidates from BOTH major parties. I agree it would be hard to vote for Johnson based on his abortion views, however as a true Libertarian, he would also support state's rights when it came to abortion laws and be completely against tax dollars going to fund it (or anything else). Liberty is a framework that can work for everyone. It pretty much says, leave everyone alone, pass very few new laws, lower taxes, shrink government, end foreign welfare, uphold the bill of rights, let free enterprise work.I will consider voting for him if he is doing well in the polls in November, but I think the Libertarian party really missed the boat on their candidate, I guess that's 3 for 3

To illustrate how even socially liberal Libertarians usually see it, notice these 2 bullets on his abortion views.Don't require insurers to provide birth control. (May 2012)

I WILL vote for him, but only if he sky rockets and appears to be able to defeat Hillary. My only hesitation would be the SCOTUS appointees coming up, not sure of that, but I would guess they would be better than Hillary would appoint. Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/

The reality of government in America, is that we have a two-party system. Democrats are much more unified. Bernie surprised me with the support he received, but his followers will vote for Hillary, regardless of the rhetoric they spilled when he dropped out. My dad was black (African-American for the politically correct). Just like people in the Bible Belt are born Christians, black people are born Democrat. Of the African-Americans in my church, I would say probably 90% of them will vote for HC regardless of what she says or does. She is the Democratic nominee so they will pull the lever straight party every time.

Johnson's immigration ideals leave a lot to be desired as well. It seems he is an open borders guy.
