She is a friend of mine - so I saw the post. Her politics are different than mine. She stated she is excited to see a woman President just as many of my friends were excited to see an African American President 8 years ago.I am sure she would probably prefer a different woman President - just as many African Americans would be happy to have seen a different African American president. Nonetheless - it is still a milestone in American politics by itself. I see nothing wrong with celebrating it - if it occurs.I sincerely hope she is disappointed. There is also a strain of religion/politics that implores the govt to take over the roll of the church to provide for the needy. I believe she is in that camp - since the church is not feeding everyone in America - she will get the change that she sees so vital from the govt. With Trump running this time - do we have the ability to condemn the choice out of hand like we usually do?Probably not.I think Hillary will be a disaster.Others think Trump will be a disaster. We're probably both right this time

They are democrats. They believe in social engineering by the govt.Does that get you fired or demoted from Lee - I guess that is your question.Someone else will have to answer

Obviously not, and that's not my concern. My concern is an underlying current of liberal thought has taken root at Lee no differently than at most other colleges in this country. If an instructor feels differently than the norm - and is espousing liberal points of view - at what point do you make a change? What recourse is there? Does it need to be written into the ethical code that you can't be liberal on govt policies? Probably not.But since you didn't ask, I will ask the number one liberal point anathema to most Christians: Can you support a woman's right to choose abortion and still be employed at Lee? I see that as a problem for a Christian university - but other than that - the democrats probably don't have any other problems that the Republicans don't have, as well

I have had the pleasure to attended several Inaugurations both Republican and Democrat, and it has always been an exciting event. Being there to observe democracy in action as we install the newly elected leader of the greatest nation on God's earth is an opportunity to witness history.

Uncle JD stated:Its not about attending the event as much as how important this is to the person, they are the chair of the democratic party of Cleveland. Can a person be fired for being a Democrat? Would you want a Democrat to fire you for being a Republican? Would you want to be fired for being a Christian?

Ok, since the point is entirely missed, let me follow your logic then. Are they asked if they intend to foster a belief to their students that its ok to tax Christians to pay people to plunge knives into the heads of infants? Probably not. So is it important? I guess not.
