Sorry Dean, but it wasn't Senator Kennedy. Indeed, it was a Kennedy, but he is a career diplomat. I don't know if he is related to the Kennedy family or not, but he isn't a Senator.

I think his name is Patrick Kennedy, but I'm not sure if he is one of the Kennedy kids. I read he has served both Demo's and Republican's, so he may only have the famous last name.
