I heard one guy (who is now a former CoG pastor actually) who decided to become a polygamist say that only the man was created in the image and likeness of God.

IMO, God breathed into Adam the breathe of life, and Eve, and everyone else who came from Adam, got it from him

There are two accounts of the creation of man. One is a brief account about the sixth day. There are those who argue this is different from the Eden account. That would be a way to keep Cain's wife from being his sister, I suppose. But one might also argue that Adam's line was the line with the 'breath.' But if Adam died when he sinned, did he keep the breath of life? Is the breath of life something in his lungs, or something else?I wonder if one of the boys asked if God breathed into Adam the breath of life and the teacher responded
