Sadly, it seems he cannot help himself. It is obviously some kind of character flaw. Trump cannot seem to stop himself from making vicious personal attacks against his political opponents. The latest, is taunting Jeb Bush because Jeb's Mother may campaign for him in South Carolina. Sadly, it seems none of the Bush family grasps that the nation does not want another Bush as President. So, this dear lady will go to SC and it won't help.Trump's tease is that Jeb wants his Mommie. Jeb is now so far down in the polls until there is no need to ridicule him personally.Such personal attacks and taunting causes so much damage until even if Trump wins the nomination, those he has taunted and maligned, won't support him. Absolutely, take them to task on their policies but in reality, all of the other GOP candidates except for maybe Christie, are nice people.Making personal attacks against them only hurts Trump. If he is to win the election, he must have their support.Whachathink?Doyl

He ain't supposed to pick on Barbara, I like her! But I have to tell you, several times I was sure he had sunk himself, and he gained in the polls. He is real, and for some reason the establishment cannot comprehend it.Jeb doesn't realize how silly he looks saying, Trump is not a serious candidate!IS he electable? I honestly do not think any political observer can say for sure, this is DIFFERENT! Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]://shipslog-jack.blogspot.com/

It really doesn't surprise me that he can't keep his mouth shut.

I think I agree with Tom here. He did say it much better. YES we can do better, but we haven't. I hope for better. I pray for better. I despise to find myself voting for what I consider is the Lesser or two evils.Yes I think Trump would be better than anything the other side will offer. I will vote for the one most likely to win on my side of the aisle Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]://shipslog-jack.blogspot.com/

I really wish I had time for a longer answer, but its getting late. You realize of course I agree about not voting for a pastor as I already said. However, that does not end our obligation to consider morality into the equation, especially when it concerns a man that claims moral authority as Trump has (look at his claims over the last 12 months, there are many). But that is not the only issues I have with Donald Trump, you mention the Constitution and that is a PRIMARY area of concern as well. So far there has been nothing that Trump has said that makes me believe he understands the Constitution at all, much less that he has a conservative view of the supremacy of the Constitution in our society. Don't take my word for it, read the article in the National Review written by several of the leading conservatives in America. This is not a position that offers on-the-job-training in Constitution 101 (the current state of the union as prime evidence), and even during the first 10 months while I was still amused by him I would often chuckle and tell my kids that he reminds me of the junior-high kid running for class president promising Coke machines in every hallway and 1 hour recess. I really don't think he knows much more about the Constitution than he does two Corinthians.

Well written Tom. The job of the church is to be the church. Who would've thought that tabloid and talk show billionaire Donald Trump would be leading the GOP right now? (Not me in a million years). If I was a gambling man last year, I would've have bet the farm on Bush being a major contender today. But obviously Jeb Bush is not even in the hunt.Truthfully, we don't really know any of these guys, beyond what we've seen on tv, and mud slinging commercials. Sure, I like

I like Trump for the republicans - and I think it will help the republican candidates in the future. Here's why. Many of us made mistakes when we were younger - things that don't represent the real us now.Up until Trump - if a Republican had the smallest of skeleton in the closet - often they would not run - for fear it would become a campaign issue - and cloud the fact that we truly are a moral person now...and would govern morally.Trump has proven that it should not hold that person back anymore - as he was totally immoral in his past - and we are hopeful for the future.I also believe it is scriptural as well. God would rather us be hot or cold - not lukewarm. We have too often had lukewarm leaders that have never been able to change the status quo - and didn't do anyone a whole lot of good. God would rather we be cold(like Trump) than lukewarm. Because if you can turn a guy like that - he will be just as fervently hot - as he was icily cold. JMHO
