| First off, let me say that I am not energized about any of the available candidates we have running for the Oval Office this year. Hillary looks downright angry in every public appearance and her speeches remind me of an angry preacher. Sanders is a socialist joke and I think eventually he will implode. Frankly, I don't see any of the Republican combinations viable to defeat Hillary. America seems bent on the novelty of having the first female president. Having said all of that, I wonder how many are what I deem as one-issue voters. We see them in the church all the time. People who are obsessed with signs, versions of the bible, dress codes, interpretations of bible prophecy and such. I honestly do not believe that we will ever see Roe v. Wade overturned. And I feel that this issue continues to plague the Republican party because we are convinced that some caped crusader will enter the White House and ban abortion. |

| Very well stated and I think you have are right along with thousands of us who just ain't really happy with the GOP spread in that it seems to be ushering in the Hillary presidency.I am not sure Sanders will implode but I certainly do not think he will win the D. Nomination.Reading our own past history, Republicans and Democrats they have not done a thing about ROE vs Wade, and neither will the new crop of politicians. WE have come to the place we listen to promises and know that is what they are, Promises. Most list things they can't even do legally.In answer to your last question, I do think that is possible. | Yeah, I get a bit frustrated with the one issue voters also. For me, its the all or nothing voter that concerns me most. Suppose a nominee has a weak stance on immigration. He's labeled a RINO, a communist-traitor, etc..... For example, if the nominees are Marco Rubio and Hillary Clinton...I know Republicans who just won't vote. If they don't agree with everything, they just stay home.I think that is one of the factors that got President Obama reelected. In the first election, John McCain was just not a strong candidate. But I think Mitt Romney would have been a good president. But because he wasn't conservative enough, I think a lot of people did not participate |

Again, I do agree here SB.There are many things in this system that are hard to reconcile. Most of us think too small, there is a whole wonderful nation out there that needs to be cared for, taught, and given reason to be part of the whole. We do not need a micro-manager i.e. Both of you come to the White House and join me for a beer and we can settle this.
