I don't care for Trump's language, though I heard many times worse in the military and in some jokes preachers tell. There does seem to be a blank spot in his brain about how that loses him voters.BUT, I do like that he has has a proven record in business; a tremendously successful businessman. He has not just talked about it. He has done it. Obviously, he does not come to the table from a conservative religious background. But THIS GUY has shaken the political process. Yes, I would prefer a conservative Christian as President but at this point, I would choose someone who can get the job done in turning our nation around. At this time, it does not seem to be that those opposing Trump can get that done.THE ESTABLISHMENT hates Cruz but they are terrified of Trump. The fact that the Establishment is terrorized of him, may be one of the best things about Trump. He is not on their payroll, they cannot control him. Those who have LOST TWO elections to the Dems, are attacking Trump. They say he can't win. That is yet to be seen but I think he has a far better chance of winning than Cruz (who I like a lot). Our country is skidding into financial disaster, we are viewed around the world as feckless and weak, and do not even have the courage to secure our borders. By secure, I'm not just talking about those pouring across our Southern border, but also those who come in on a visa and never go home. There are more Chinese and people from India flowing in than Hispanics. We need immigration. I believe it is a strength, but for the first time in our history, we also have people coming here who want to see our nation destroyed. They have no plans of assimilating and becoming Americans. To turn this nation around is going to take a powerful person and though I like Cruz, he ain't that guy. Wish he was, but he isn't. So, though I DO NOT particularly like Trump, I DO like him as a choice to help get our nation back on track. Will he turn it around? I don't know but unlike the others, he has the ability to do that. The choice is now Trump or Cruz. I like Cruz but he is not a powerful enough personality to get done what needs to be accomplished to save our nation. And another term by Obama/Hillary, and our nation will continue to slip away. That's my opinion. I welcome you to share yours.Doyl |

I don't know about that. Did you read the link that was posted recently about him? (I believe it was posted by Quiet Wyatt.) He could have invested his inherited money and ended up with more than he has made by his successful businesses. He ruined people in the process of his successful businesses by his companies going bankrupt and by using eminent domain to ruin people like Vera Coking (look her up). His successful include casinos and the first casino to have a strip club. Sorry, that doesn't impress me. He campaigns on keeping jobs in America, but his businesses hire a lot of foreign workers:www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-election-trump-exclusive-idUSKCN0Q62RQ20150802 |

My opinion is that you've bought into Trump's overstated opinion of his abilities! |

Trump started rich, no question. $225 mil is nothing to sneeze at, but up and downs and business failures he has amassed Billions. Maybe not ten billion, but 6 billion will top most men that started off rich.Mitt started off rich, and he is still rich. He has not amassed what Trump did. Do I appreciate bankruptcy, not one bit. Evidently many Christian business men use the bankruptcy laws to their advantage. I have very close friends who went bankrupt and were leaders in the local COGs in Georgia and North Carolina. I do not know a /COG preacher who has declared bankruptcy, but I have been told there are a few.Declaring Bankruptcy is completely legal, although many folks are hurt, it is still legal.By any standards he is a very good business man. The man who just trashed him said so. Even said he knew about the economy etc.I am still not a Trump supporter, but I have enough insight to understand he may come a cross as we used to say, He has a mouth that overloads his rear. But so far his mouth has not overloaded his rear. He is still here I even like the idea he doesn't mind spending his own money. Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/ |

I had very good friend that I admired. His dad was my clerk. He was headed toward the billionaire status. He was a COG member, a great guy, he had started with a few thousand and was a mulitmillionaire, but at the economic fall he had over reached. He lost every thing along with ten half million dollar homes.I know this personally. Not everyone was ready for the collapse. He died, and his wife is now renting in gov't housing.I made it thru unscathed so did my son. But many friends did not make it. One committed suicide. As a former business man, I know Trump was no johnny come lately in business. I prefer a less 'mouthy' business man, but I do know that Trump is a cut above most business men in ability. I have no idea about his ability as a president. But one would be presumptuous to say anybody could become a Billionaire if they had 225 million. Because that ain't a fact!. I'm a little tired of all 3 of the leaders, I was surprised to come away from last night liking Kasich a whole lot more. Did anyone lose out on votes because of the big field of players more than Kasich? He could have been the dark-horse if he'd had this good a night 2 months ago. Or maybe he's just as annoying as he was the first debate but I'm just so tired of this whole process. |
