That was 1980. I think many things have occurred since then that would change a opinion on this. 9/11 for one thing. Another communism is not the world wide threat is was then, now it is terrorism. And finally we legalized (granted amnesty to) a bunch of illegals in 1986 with the hopes that it would help stop the illegals, it did not work! I don't know if a wall is the answer, but we are a nation of laws. We ought to at least enforce or laws or change them. Changing the anchor baby law would probably do a lot for us.
