This is NOTHING for the men and women of God to be laughing at.The title says it all. This man holds revivals and lays hands on people in the name of Jesus, and Christians who love the Lord flock to them because they don't know any better. He has been in meetings with people who are deeply respected in our charismatic and Pentecostal circles. |

| Dave, I remember someone posting on Acts the prophecies of Brian Carn a year ago. I remember being skeptical because I thought the prophecies were either ambiguous or just things that would likely happen anyway (like a hurricane in Boca Raton which interestingly enough did not happen even though, statistically speaking, Boca Raton is overdue for one).I found enough information about him then to satisfy myself that he had character issues, though I couldn't confirm the stuff first hand. I did post last September that he had missed it on the hurricane season. |

| Oh, I'm now remembering (though vaguely) more of the discussion we had at the time. I think someone had posted about how he missed it on how many children a woman had. I think someone else was trying to explain how that he still could have been right if he was just referring to children young enough not to care for themselves. |

I don't remember any pork diseases last year, but I didn't closely follow the news. Were there any major outbreaks? It seems like I might have read about something in the UK. | Dave, this is the part that concerns me. This is where mature leadership is needed. The leaders of the churches need to know the character of the people they bring in. There is a temptation to bring in someone sensational who will draw crowds and bring in money. ~shaking my head~ |

| We are afraid to call things out because we don't want to touch the Lord's anointed.But Jesus wrote to the church at Thyatira and said, I love your works, your love, and your faith, but I've got this against you: you tolerate that woman Jezebel in your midst. Charismatics love to talk about the spirit of Jezebel as if it is some kind of spirit of rebellion, generally one that affects women, but it is nothing of the sort so far as I can see. Jezebel is representative of false doctrine. Of sin that is wrapped up and justified by a contortion of the word of God. In Hebrew her name means pure, chaste. She is a woman that has the appearance of good but works great wickedness.Jesus said she calls herself a prophetess and seduces My servants and teaches them that it's right. And He told the church at Thyatira, you have tolerated her in your midst. You have let her do what she is doing without trouble. |
