From all accounts he is the most conservative pick from a Democratic president in decades (meaning he's just a little more liberal than average I guess). How big of a gamble is it that we will actually get a Republican president to appoint this vacancy? What if Hillary wins? I think there's at least a 50/50 chance. She would likely bring a Democratic senate with her.If that happened, do you think she would appoint anyone nearly as center as Garland? I don't. In fact, I think she loves the politically motivated pick of Barack Obama. Can you imagine that?Should they get while the gettin's good?Should they refuse confirmation?

What makes you think he is conservative? He talked like one - but does that make him one?He seems to be pretty weak on the second amendment in particular

The Senate can change the Senate rules if necessary, right? It seems to me that the solution is obvious. Drag out the process until November, see the results of the election. If Hillary wins, they could consider whether to approve. Obama already nominated him. If Trump wins.... I don't know what they should do. Do we know what kind of judges he will appoint? If the Republicans were to figure out a way to make Cruz or Kasich the nominee, they could reject Obama's nominee.Could someone who knows how to email all the conservative Senators please suggest that to them

This is my thinking Link. It seems a logical path for the nominee. Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/
