Our son in law had open heart surgery a few weeks ago. the procedure hadmany complications. He had to be opened up twice. His heart stopped beating for a while. The entire procedure was around 12 hours. When he was out of recovery and able to think more clearly he told the doctors that he heard them yelling Breath and that he heard everyone else talking loud. When he started to breath again he heard clapping and rejoicing of the doctors and nurses. HE told the doctors to continue telling patients to Breath during this type of operation because that is what saved him and it might save future patients also. The doctors were between amazed and bedazzeled. His doctor asked him again You heard that? Were you in pain? Joe replied no to the pain question but yes to the voices.I think this may have been his spirit hearing what was going on and that he was dying at the time. He is in full recovery now and doesnt speak of it much.

C6... I have only been in the hospital for 'elective procedures'. The big 'V' once and these two implants, only the implants required me be 'put under'. It was my understanding that no one 'dreams' while out. This time I had a fantastic dream. I dreamed the team lost me for 5 minutes and even gave up and declared me 'gone'. This is all a dream, remember. They unhooked me and cleaned the room and allowed my wife back to say good bye. When she came in I opened my eyes, winked at her and I was back alive. It will be awhile until I tell the contents of the dream, because what I dreamed was not real and goes contrary to my faith. SO I WONDER.In the case of the OP the patient could hear the Dr. In my dream I could hear the Drs also. I am not sure if there is any parallel, but I did ask if there had been a problem, a team member that I asked did look strange, but quickly said no problems at all. I DO NOT think there was, but the dream was very real. The only parallel here is, 'I heard in my dream,' YOur SIL actually 'heard in reality.' After this surgery I was extremely SORE all over my body! Is that unusual???? Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/

Well, I was stopping short of saying one can hear when COMPLETELY unconscious, but I actually do think that is possible as well, though I don't think that always happens.Anyway, that's my opinion. Sort of like an elbow.
