| I am a conditionalist which is different from annihilation. I have come to this belief after years of searching and praying. | I think it's more than purgatory. It is what happens to the wicked after the judgement. Simply, that they are eventually cast into the lake of fire for a period of time instead of burning in a continuous fire for all of eternity. Really, the basis for the argument has so much to do with immortality of the soul. If you believe the soul is immortal instead of God giving eternal life as is stated in John 3:16, then, I get it. The wicked must exist some place. |

| Given the choice of eternal life with God or thrown into a fire and die? How many would choose the fire? That's not the problem. The problem is with people believing that any of it is true. |
