I have been out of pocket.....very busy.....I do not recognize our country any more. In just 12 months we are something I do not recognize....the gay marriage thing, bound to happen....but....1) when people commit acts of violence, it is not longer that persons fault but Trump, white people...etc....2) We have an admin that caters to muslims. We cannot use words like jihad or muslim extremists but vilify christians at every turn....3) The second amendment is teetering on the edge....4) While all these events take place, refugees amounting to 1 million will be here soon. According to one article, 1 in 4 of those settling in Tennessee have TB.5) The CIA director has come out and said more terrorism is on the way via ISIS through refugees....but our president does nothing...What is our focus as a country....Kardassians, Taylor Swift....OJ....the latest reality show.....Basketball finals thinking the thing is rigged.... |

I think we can attribute all of what you speak on, too much power in the executive branch! Even now most people (republicans and democrats) think, if we can just get the right president in the office everything will be alright! We say we don't want a dictator, but the reality is the opposite of that. When we have a good king err...president, we want to give him more power. When we have a bad president we want to clip his wings. Trouble is who is deciding good or bad and when we give(allow) him more power how do we dial it down?We (all of us Republicans and Democrats) have played a part in this. We want one person to be in charge of everything. We don't want the responsibility of vetting our representatives. If our representative bring home the bacon and can talk a good conservative talk, we are all in. The house and senate are both republican in name only(majority) and don't really want to make the hard decisions and lead. They defer to the executive branch and we sit idly by.We are headed to a socialist democracy and I don't know if we can be turned away from it although I hope we can! Obamacare was only the beginning. Also note that Justice Roberts(lauded as a conservative justice) upheld this ability of our government to force people to purchase something. Again we said that if we can just get the right president, everything would be OK. Roberts was installed by George Bush who also expanded medicare and expanded executive power with new cabinet member homeland security and various other expansions. If I would point my fingers at others, I would have to point 8 back at myself because I voted for him twice. |

And all the while, Article 5 of the Constitution raises her voice and beckons to the States to invoke her |
