| While I agree with you that most are trying to do the right thing, I respectfully disagree that the problem doesn't live within the church. The whites within the church (including myself), have been somewhat dismissive of the issue, largely because of the radical elements we perceive in the BLM movement. But there are many black church leaders that have been involved in BLM and many others who are expressing concern with perceived injustice who are not within that particular group (thankfully, since I agree its been hijacked). Today President George W. Bush said something that struck a chord with me. Too often, we judge other groups by their worst examples, while we judge ourselves only by our best intentions... |
