| Chipper Jones, Dale Murphy and Nolan Ryan are my all-time favorite baseball players. Thanks for sharing your story, pretty cool man.I saw him play first in Philadelphia while I was living in NJ. I moved to a town outside of Atlanta in 2003 and watched him every year there until moving back to TX in 2010. | He said that they were very blessed that Chipper was able to come out of such a small place and be noticed. Not really.They put him in the pro sports factory - Bolles School in Jacksonville for 3 years.That is what got him noticed.Never would have happened in Pierson |

| I have a good friend, H Woods who had a promising career with the Reds, I think, but found that BAseball was tough on marriages. he stepped back because his marriage meant a lot to him, and he was worried it would eventually mean the end of theirs.Jimmy Hall (with the Twins?) had a rough time, he was my wife's classmate. He has never returned to her home town and is a recluse with several problems. I admire a player who can have a LIFE outside baseball and still live a good life. That schedule must be tough.
