This is my first hurricane season in South Florida, and as such I have been much more aware of hurricanes - particularly in the Atlantic. Before this summer I didn't know that there was a National Hurricane Center.But I have been watching Matthew, and it is going to hammer Haiti, Cuba, and several islands along the Florida coast. Knowing how people live here, and sustain hurricanes is unimaginable. Like you said, they live in huts. There is no code enforcement on mud and straw.
