I just had someone tell me there was/is a recipe for fruit cakes that all the COGs used to use.As one who never eats fruit cake - perhaps I overlooked it.I know our church used to make some - but was there a universalCOG fruit cake recipe everyone used? Published somewhere?I am told they surprisingly tasted good |

I'm not familiar with it (I didn't grow up COG), but I'm assuming it must have been one that didn't require being soaked in rum.I used to buy Claxton fruitcakes (which don't have rum), and I liked them. I really like dried fruit and nuts, and I think you have to be a fan of dried fruits to like fruitcake. |
