Does the Jewish Calendar (I think there two - one religious - agricultural) really matter in under the New Covenant (Testament)? Yes, it seems that our Creator was calendar intense, starting with creation and the the first seven days. He put the plants in place and order for a purpose. I believe that Jesus was born at just the right place and just the right time in history to fulfill the Law and the prophets. I believe that if the Messiah of the Bible had not been born at that place and time in history - than there is no messiah and we should just put the Bible on the shelve. You could say the same thing about genealogy as it relates to the coming of the Messiah. God was focused on the human line that would point to the Messiah. In the New Testament, the genealogies are in the front, but by the back it is only the relationship with Jesus that matters.I feel that quasi-Hebrew-ism is dangerous to the Covenant Jesus bought with his blood. Most of us are gentile converts to Christ and we should not play at being Jews. The Jews need to believe in the Messiah born of the Law and stop looking for another if they are to be saved.

Yes Old Timer, Jesus done it all precisely during the Passover Season just as was determined by the wisdom of God.Yes Old Timer, the Day of Pentecost came right on time according to God's predetermined plan. And, yes Old Timer, Jesus will do it again when God's plans for the Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, and Feast of Tabernacles are fulfilled. When we put the feasts in terms of God's redemptive week, we find the first four days are Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruit, and the Feast of Weeks (Pentecost), and have been fulfilled by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as well as the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.Three days await their fulfillment - Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement and the Feast of Tabernacles. They also will find fulfillment as part of the last day Judgment and Messianic reign upon the earth.Jesus declared, For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished. (Matthew 5:18).Mat, regarding the Jewish Calendar and the New Covenant, what is important are the seasons and signs. We can't really know what time it is, but we can recognize seasons and signs. It isn't so much the fulfillment of righteous requirements of the Law that Jesus has accomplished, He has and will accomplish the prophetic embedded within the Law as well God-HonoringChrist-CenteredBible-BasedSpirit-Led

Mark, every Word will be fulfilled, but many Christians are in danger of focusing on the elements of The Law instead of the fulfillment. It may be 5777 in the Jewish Calendar (not sure, just heard that), but under the New Covenant all that means is we are another year closer to the Second Coming of the Messiah. It is the Year of the Lord we need to be ready for, and three sevens plus a five in the count does not make this year any more holy.
