When individuals make a decision they know will be questionable, why do they try to deflect criticism by rationalizing their decision; and even worse, in the Church world they spiritualize their decision to make it more honorable?Further, when their spiritualizing doesn't stand the scrutiny of examination, it only serves to make the individual appear desperate to deflect the criticism they know is coming. It is really sad. Why not own up to it? Just call it for what it is? It is an opportunity to advance to a position you'd rather have, or maybe asked/coerced/bribed to take.Oh, well.
